We do not collect payment card details directly - payments are processed by a secure third-party provider (Stripe).
3. Why We Process Your Data

- Issue and manage your MyFoodRepo App access key;
- Provide customer support and account-related communications;
- Fulfill our contractual obligations to you;
- Maintain security and prevent fraud;
- Maintain a pseudonymous link between your subscription key and the app data, without using your name or contact details if the data is used for research purposes.
Use for Scientific Research
We may use the data linked to your key (including the food content you submit in the app) for scientific research aimed at improving nutrition, health, and public knowledge. This research is done under strict safeguards - we pseudonymize your data and limit access to authorized researchers. If you prefer not to have your data used for research, you can opt out at any time by emailing support@myfoodrepo.ai. Opting out won't affect your access to the app or your subscription.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data:
- As long as your subscription is active;
- Up to 10 years after termination for audit, legal, and research purposes, unless you request earlier deletion (subject to legal constraints).
5. Data Sharing
We may share your data with:
- Payment processors (e.g. Stripe);
- Hosting and technical providers (e.g. AWS);
- Email and support platforms;
- Legal or regulatory bodies, if required by law.
Some providers may be located outside Switzerland and the EU. We rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect international transfers.
